What is taking your time?
Have you ever wondered where all the time went?
Does it sometimes feel like 24 hours is no longer enough for a day?
Do you feel like you woke up really early to ensure you got everything done only to find out that you couldn't even get to half of your task?
I woke up as early as 7am on this lovely Saturday morning and i wrote down a list of all the things i wanted to accomplish and i even gave a time frame to each task only to find out at 3pm that i had barely moved on my to do list.
In my head i was wondering where time went or what i had been doing the whole time. I soon figured out what the problem was.
I had not set priorities to my to do list and second i did not eliminate potential distractions.
This is one major problem almost everyone is faced with.
In a fast paced world such as these, you have to know what is most valuable to you after which you need to have a "Why" behind it. Once you figure out why you are doing something, the reason to do it becomes a lot easier or you discover that it is not important. Also you have to eliminate potential distractions.
For me, the distractions on Saturday were the TV and my phone. i had to turn off the TV and put my phone away to get things done in a timely manner.
Make a conscious effort starting today to find out what is really taking your time. Are they the things you want? or the things other people want?
Start calling yourself out on habits that waste your time so you can clear out the clutter.
It is time to focus on your life and leave the clutter at the door.
Remember TIME lost can never be regained
Enjoy

Funny story:I learned the same thing this past week. I left my phone charger at work on Wednesday and so that evening my phone died. I was so worried about not waking up on time for work the next day. I have a laptop and used it as an alarm and I woke up earlier than usual, as well as made it to work waaay earlier than usual. The lesson I learned was that my phone is a huge distraction throughout the day and being on it constantly throughout the morning slows down my productivity and timeliness.
