Attitude is Everything...

I received a call from a gentleman earlier today and he couldn't believe what had just happened to him. He is a consultant by profession and his type of work makes him come in contact with professionals from different parts of the world.  Earlier last week, he had received a very difficult case from another client and it was important for that case to be dealt with in an excellent and  timely manner.

Almost everyone on his team feared that case because it was a very demanding one  and it was one of such cases that could suddenly expose to management how detailed and experienced you are as a consultant. If you handled that case very well according to expectation, you could be exposed as a bright consultant with great potential, likewise if the client had terrible feedback, your career could be on line. so you can imagine how scared my friend was when he had no choice but to deal with such a client.

With little or not choice he emailed the client to request more information and he was shocked to get a very pleasant response from the client. The client responded in a familiar tone and it was like the client knew my friend. After a few minutes my friend looked at the signature of the client only to realize that this same client used to be a very good friend of his from way back. It was very shocking that this client that everyone feared was a close friend.

In less than a minute my friend also realized that  he had a disagreement with this client a while back and they were no longer on talking terms.  You can imagine how sad that story could have ended but the good news is that my friend and the client resolved their differences and i guess that was why my friend received a pleasant email from the client.

Imagine if they were no longer friends, How frustrating do you think the whole process could've been?

How does this story affect you, you may wonder?

This story affects everyone of us and it just goes to show how small this world is. It also goes to show how careful we must be as individuals.

You are  the same everywhere and it doesn't matter, if you are at work in the midst of your colleagues or at home with your friends.

Attitude is everything and a good attitude will always take you to places far greater than your talent can ever get you.

• Always be nice, forgive and let go.
• Stay positive at all times
• Treat people the same way you will like to get treated.
• Respect everyone and care for all mankind.
• It doesn't matter where you are today, You will not always be in that same position forever.
• Do good and say good things 
• Keep the right attitude always regardless of any situation you find yourself.
